Financial investment instruments with the highest returns in September announced
According to TURKSTAT data, while Government Domestic Debt Securities saw the highest monthly real return in September, gold bullion took the top spot on an annual basis.
According to the real return rates of financial investment instruments for September announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute, Government Domestic Debt Securities provided the highest gain on a monthly basis, while gold bullion ranked first in the annual evaluation.
Monthly Returns in September
The Turkish Statistical Institute shared the real return rates of financial investment instruments for September with the public. According to the announced data, the highest real return on a monthly basis in September occurred in Government Domestic Debt Securities.
GDDS and Deposit Interest Rates
In September, GDDS provided a real return of 1.18 percent when deflated by the domestic producer price index, and 1.40 percent when deflated by the consumer price index. Gross deposit interest, on the other hand, yielded 0.96 percent on a D-PPI basis and 1.19 percent on a CPI basis.
Losers in September
During the same period, the US Dollar, Euro, gold bullion, and the BIST 100 index experienced real losses at various rates. The BIST 100 index recorded a real loss of 5.79 percent when deflated by CPI.
Six-Month Performance Results
In the six-month evaluation, gross deposit interest provided the highest real return to investors. Deposit interest achieved a real return of 1.60 percent when deflated by D-PPI and 3.15 percent when deflated by CPI.
Gold at the Top in Annual Evaluation
Gold bullion ranked at the top in the annual performance of financial investment instruments. Gold bullion provided a real return of 7.25 percent when deflated by D-PPI and 5.30 percent when deflated by CPI.
