Hyundai IONIQ 3 goes on sale in the Turkish market
The all-electric Hyundai IONIQ 3, produced at the İzmit plant and slated for export to Europe, has been released for sale in Turkey.
The all-electric new Hyundai model, which will be produced at the brand's İzmit plant and exported to Europe, has been launched in Turkey with the objective of achieving significant sales success in the country.
Sales Targets and Market Position
Hyundai Turkey General Manager Murat Berkel announced that they aim to sell approximately one thousand units of the model per month and deliver 3,500 units by the end of the year.
With this sales performance, Turkey is expected to become the fourth largest market for the IONIQ 3 following the United Kingdom, Germany, and France.
Financing Support and R&D Requirement
Despite being produced in İzmit, the IONIQ 3 cannot benefit from the loan facilities granted to domestic electric vehicles due to the requirement that the manufacturer must have an R&D center in Turkey.
Hyundai's ongoing discussions with relevant institutions have not yet concluded, and this obstacle currently stands in the way of financing support that could propel Turkey into the top three.
Trim Levels and Pricing
Available to buyers in Turkey with four different trim levels—Select, Trend, Prime, and N-Line EVO—the starting price of the IONIQ 3 has been set at 1,799,000 TL.
Battery Options and Range
While the entry-level Select version equipped with a 42.2 kWh battery offers a range of 343 kilometers, the range reaches 482 kilometers in the Trend, Prime, and N-Line EVO options featuring a 61 kWh battery.
The batteries can charge from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 30 minutes at compatible fast-charging stations.
Dimensions and Technological Equipment
Despite its compact B-segment dimensions, the car offers a living space close to the C-segment and stands out with its 441-liter luggage capacity.
The equipment list of the IONIQ 3 includes the Pleos Connect infotainment system, digital key, route planner, and V2L technology.
