Iran calls on US for memorandum of understanding and concrete steps

Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary-General of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, met with Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir. Stating during the meeting that distrust towards the US persists, Rezaei expressed that the US needs to change its behavior and take concrete steps regarding the implementation of the conditions in the memorandum of understanding.

Emphasis on the Strait of Hormuz and Security

According to Fars News Agency, during this important meeting, Rezaei placed a special emphasis on Iran's security management over the Strait of Hormuz. Regional issues and security topics were discussed at the meeting.

Pakistan's Efforts and Border Security

Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir conveyed that they are making intensive efforts for the signing of the agreement reached in Islamabad. Drawing attention to the importance of brotherhood and friendship between Iran and Pakistan, Munir noted that they are carrying out significant work on ensuring the security of the borders between the two countries.

Official Contacts in Tehran

Munir, who was part of the delegation mediating the negotiations between the US and Iran in Islamabad, met with Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf in Tehran as part of his official contacts. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi was also present at this meeting between Ghalibaf and Munir.
