KTO President Selçuk Öztürk stated that the report reveals global developments, the strengths of Konya's economy, and its priorities for the upcoming period.
Industry and Employment Data
Konya's population reached 2,343,409 people in 2025, and the city maintained its position as Turkey's sixth largest province.
Approximately 228,000 people are employed in 28,529 active workplaces located across 12 organized industrial zones and 150 industrial sites in the city.
Foreign Trade and Export Achievements
Konya's foreign trade volume, which was 2.6 billion dollars in 2018, reached a size of approximately 5 billion dollars in 2025.
The city recorded 3.36 billion dollars in exports and 1.62 billion dollars in imports, giving a foreign trade surplus of 1.74 billion dollars and making sales to 209 countries.
Strength in Agriculture, Energy, and Transportation
Konya produced 371,463 tons of certified seeds, single-handedly meeting 27.5 percent of Turkey's production.
Ranking first in Turkey for solar-based unlicensed installed electricity capacity, the city maintained its leadership in transportation with a 4,417-kilometer road network.
