Minister Kacır Opened a New Ceramic Factory in Kütahya

Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır attended the opening ceremony of the August 30 Ceramic Factory, realized by NG Kütahya Seramik with an investment of 8 billion liras in Kütahya, and shared the country's industry and export data.

Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır attended the opening of the August 30 Ceramic Factory, which was completed with an investment of 8 billion liras by NG Kütahya Seramik in the Organized Industrial Zone.

In addition to Minister Kacır, Kütahya Governor Musa Işın, members of parliament, local protocol, and NG Group officials attended the organized ceremony.

Manufacturing Industry and Export Figures

Minister Kacır stated that they have increased the added value of the manufacturing industry from 41 billion dollars to over 250 billion dollars in the last 23-year period.

He also noted that annual product exports reached from 36 billion dollars to 278 billion dollars in the same period.

Turkey's Regional Export Position

Minister Kacır emphasized that Turkey is currently the leading exporting country in terms of product and market diversity in the broad belt extending from China to Central Europe.

Investments in the Ceramic Sector

Touching upon the ceramic sector, Kacır conveyed that incentive certificates were issued for 534 investments amounting to 191 billion liras in this field over the last 23 years, paving the way for employment for 39 thousand people.

Eco-Friendly and Automation Features

It was stated that the newly opened August 30 Factory is an exemplary investment with its full automation infrastructure, zero-waste approach, and heat recovery systems on an area of 235 thousand square meters.

It was recorded that with the new 15-megawatt solar energy investment within the factory, the total SPP capacity has been increased to 47 megawatts, and this situation will contribute to the green transformation journey.
