MSCI Updates Decisions on Türkiye Small Cap Index
According to MSCI's latest update, Tera Yatırım Menkul, Tera Finansal Yatırımlar, and Kardemir (B) will not be added to the index. With the revision, the number of new companies to be included in the index remains at three.
International index provider MSCI announced that three companies previously reported to be added to the Türkiye Small Cap Index will not be included in the index. The decision will take effect as of September 1, 2026.
Companies Not to Be Added to the Index
In the latest announcement made by MSCI, the phrase 'Small Cap: Not Added' was used for Tera Yatırım Menkul (TERA), Tera Finansal Yatırımlar (TRHOL), and Kardemir (B) (KRDMB), which were previously reported to be included in the Small Cap Index. With this update, it was finalized that the three stocks in question will not be included in the index.
Following this latest revision, the number of companies on the new inclusion list, previously announced as six companies, has decreased to three.
Regulations Effective as of September 1
Borusan Boru (BRSAN), Europower Enerji (EUPWR), and Rönesans Gayrimenkul (RGYAS), which were featured in the previous announcement, will continue to join the Small Cap Index as of September 1, 2026.
Furthermore, no changes were made to the decisions regarding the addition of Astor Enerji to the MSCI Türkiye Standard Index and the removal of Arçelik (ARCLK) and Katılımevim (KTLEV) from the Small Cap Index.
