Preparation for e-Government obligation in rental agreements
Making all rental agreements mandatory through e-Government is being put into practice; thousands of agreements have been approved across all 81 provinces to date.
The ministry shared the details of the application prepared for executing rental agreements via e-Government and announced that a study is underway to make all rental agreements mandatory through e-Government.
Phases of the application
The ministry launched the first phase of the service regarding the secure preparation of rental agreements via e-Government for tenants and landlords on November 4, 2024.
Moving on to the second phase of the application on May 9, 2025, real estate consultants and authorized persons were also granted the opportunity to prepare agreements.
New functions
In line with user demands, error correction and update functions have been added to the service, and the process is continuously being improved.
Approval and verification
Thanks to the application, a time-stamped, barcoded document can be generated, and verification can be easily carried out via the e-Government Gateway.
Number of approved agreements
Within the scope of the service, a total of 72,581 rental agreements have been approved to date across all 81 provinces throughout Turkey.
Evaluation by Minister Şimşek
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek stated that the system was put into service with a citizen-oriented service approach and does not require additional costs.
