Real effective exchange rate index rose to 105.45 in September
According to Central Bank data, the CPI-based real effective exchange rate index increased by 0.45 points in September.
According to data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, the 2025-based real effective exchange rate index increased on a CPI basis in September, reaching 105.45.
Increase in CPI-Based Index
According to data published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, the 2025-based real effective exchange rate index increased by 0.45 points in September compared to the previous month on a Consumer Price Index basis, reaching 105.45. The index in question stood at 105 in August.
Change in D-PPI-Based Index
The Domestic Producer Price Index-based real effective exchange rate index rose by 0.51 points over the same period to 101.62. In line with these data, annual increases were observed in the value of the Turkish lira.
Annual Value Increases
According to the official data announced, the value of the Turkish lira increased by 6.91 points on a CPI basis and 2.08 points on a D-PPI basis compared to the same period of last year.
Foreign Exchange and Inflation Components
According to CBT evaluations, the dollar gained an average of 1.63 percent and the euro an average of 1.08 percent in value compared to the previous month. Over the same period, consumer prices increased by 1.84 percent and producer prices by 2.07 percent.
