He announced that they rank first in Europe in the production of steel, commercial vehicles, solar panels, and white goods, and first globally in the production of military unmanned aerial vehicles.
Developments in Production and Industry
Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Kacır spoke at the AK Party Extended Provincial Advisory Council Meeting held at the Zafer Development Agency. Kacır stated that they feel proud to witness Turkey's rapid rise with its manufacturing power.
Infrastructure and Employment Growth
Conveying that the number of organized industrial zones has increased from 192 to 373, Kacır stated that employment in these zones has risen from 415,000 to 2,700,000. He also noted that the number of factories has reached 61,000 from 11,000.
Stating that Turkey's R&D infrastructure has been built from scratch, Minister Kacır reported that the number of technoparks across the country has reached 115 and the number of companies in technoparks has exceeded 13,000.
Economic and Export Data
Explaining that the value-added produced by industry has surged from 41 billion dollars to over 250 billion dollars, Minister Kacır emphasized that export figures have also climbed from 36 billion dollars to 278 billion dollars.

Minister Kacır stated that they are number one in Europe in the production of steel, commercial vehicles, solar panels, and white goods. He noted that they hold the top rank globally in the production of military unmanned aerial vehicles.
Defense Industry Projects
Expressing that significant successes have been achieved in the defense industry through the National Technology Move, Kacır added that major steps have been taken with projects such as Bayraktar, Akıncı, Anka, Aksungur, Hürkuş, Hürjet, Atak, Gökbey, Kaan, and Kızılelma.
