Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry Nidal Al-Shaar received Turkish Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat and the accompanying delegation in Damascus. This meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation in the economic and industrial fields between the two countries and to increase the trade volume.

Removal of Obstacles to Trade

According to the official statement issued by the Syrian Ministry of Economy and Industry, the two sides discussed removing obstacles to the movement of trade, developing cooperation in the fields of industry and exports, and creating an attractive business environment for investments.

Emphasis on New Partnerships and Employment

During the talks, the importance of maintaining coordination between economic institutions and establishing joint projects that will encourage production and create new employment opportunities was emphasized. Minister Al-Shaar stated that this visit will serve mutual interests.

Commencement of Bilateral Business Meetings

The Turkey-Syria Trade Delegation and Bilateral Business Meetings officially commenced at the Seven Gates Hotel in Damascus, under the auspices of the Syrian Ministry of Economy and Industry and the Turkish Ministry of Trade, in cooperation with the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce and the Turkish Exporters Assembly.
