Temperatures are Dropping in Istanbul and Heavy Rain is Expected
According to AKOM's latest report, air temperatures in Istanbul will decrease significantly, while storms and very heavy downpours will be effective.
According to the weather forecast report shared by AKOM, the Disaster Affairs and Risk Management Department of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, air temperatures are projected to drop across the city, and strong thunderstorms and storms are expected to take effect.
Temperatures are Dropping and a Storm is Coming
Air temperatures across Istanbul are expected to drop by around 6 to 8 degrees, and winds blowing from northern directions are expected to be effective as a storm at speeds of 30 to 60 kilometers per hour.
Heavy Rain Warning for Wednesday
According to the prepared weekly forecast table, the lowest temperature on Wednesday, September 23, is projected to range around 14 degrees and the highest temperature at 19 degrees.
It was stated that very heavy downpours that may occur in some regions could reach levels of 60 to 100 kilograms per square meter, and citizens were asked to be cautious.
Rain Expected Again on the Weekend
While no precipitation is expected in the city on Thursday, September 24 and Friday, September 25, it was stated that thunderstorms will show their effect again on the weekend, Saturday and Sunday.
