Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced the schedule for the Touristic Eastern Express for the 2026-2027 winter season and that individual ticket sales will begin on October 26, 2026.
Expedition Dates and Number of Trips
The Touristic Eastern Express will operate a total of seventy trips in the new season, with thirty-five in each direction.
Trips in the Ankara-Kars direction will take place between December 21, 2026, and March 10, 2027.
Departure Days and Times
Trains in the Ankara-Kars direction will depart on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Trips in the Kars-Ankara direction will be carried out on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Route and Sightseeing Stops
Sightseeing stops will be made at the Erzincan and Erzurum stations in the Ankara-Kars direction.
In the Kars-Ankara direction, breaks will be given at the İliç, Divriği, and Sivas stations.
Wagon and Capacity Information
The train will consist of sleeping and dining wagons, with each sleeping wagon containing ten compartments.
Each compartment will have two beds, and a single sleeping wagon will have a total capacity of twenty passengers.
Ticket Sales Conditions
Ticket sales for individual passengers will be launched on October 26, 2026.
