Trade Minister Ömer Bolat categorically denied the fund investigation and asset allegations made against him, emphasizing that the claims are entirely black propaganda and reporting that family savings have been in a legal sukuk account for 2 years and 8 months.
Asset Declarations and Transparency
Trade Minister Ömer Bolat stated that since the day he took office, he has submitted all his asset declarations completely and within legal periods to the authorized state institutions.
Stating that he has no need to conceal any assets or sources of income, Bolat noted that all financial movements are conducted under the state's audit systems and in a transparent manner.
Sukuk Account and Investment Details
Bolat announced that family savings amounting to 37.8 million Turkish liras were deposited into a sukuk account within Hedef Yatırım Portföy on February 26, 2024.
He stated that 2 years and 8 months have passed since the investment in question, and that the account remains unchanged and unclosed even after the investigations on September 16.
Rejection of Allegations
He reported that no stock trading or different investment operations were carried out around the dates when the fund investigation began or afterwards.
He stated that Ömer Bolat does not hold any managerial position, partnership, or signing authority in any investment or financial institution, and that claims to this effect are completely false.
Legal Process and Audit Statement
Minister Bolat emphasized that neither he nor his family have ever engaged in transactions such as crypto-assets or overseas money investments.
Stating that they are open to all kinds of reviews and audits by the authorized institutions of the state, he announced that he will use his legal rights to the fullest extent.
