Trade Minister Ömer Bolat Met with Syrian Minister in Damascus
Trade Minister Ömer Bolat visited Damascus within the scope of the International Damascus Trade Fair and discussed bilateral relations with Syrian Economy and Industry Minister Muhammad Nidal al-Shaar.
Within the framework of his visit to Damascus, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat met with Syrian Economy and Industry Minister Muhammad Nidal al-Shaar to evaluate opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.
Visit to Damascus and Contacts
Trade Minister Ömer Bolat announced that he was in Damascus, accompanied by a strong business delegation, on the occasion of the 63rd International Damascus Trade Fair.
It was reported that an official meeting was held with Syrian Economy and Industry Minister Muhammad Nidal al-Shaar during the first part of the visit.
Trade Volume Targets
During the bilateral meeting, steps to be taken to reach the 10 billion dollar trade volume target set by the presidents of the two countries were discussed.
Opportunities for cooperation aimed at facilitating commercial activities, particularly transportation lines and customs gates, were addressed in detail.
Reconstruction Process
During the meeting, Syria's reconstruction process and the roles that the Turkish private sector could undertake in this process were evaluated in detail.
The will to follow up on the agreements reached at the Turkey-Syria JETCO Meeting held in April and turn them into concrete results was reaffirmed.
