Amid debates over the fund crisis in the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), it emerged that Fatih Kılınç, Chief of Staff to Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, had also deposited money into the closed fund. Yılmaz confirmed that his chief of staff had pooled 7 million liras with friends to make the investment and suffered a major loss.

As debates regarding the fund crisis escalated in the TBMM General Assembly, members of parliament brought various allegations concerning cabinet members and bureaucrats onto the parliamentary agenda.

Cevdet Yılmaz stated that his Chief of Staff, Fatih Kılınç, had informed him about the matter, explaining that they had pooled 7 million liras among some friends to invest in the fund and experienced a significant loss.

Reactions from Opposition Parties

YENİ Party İzmir Deputy Ümit Özlale directed questions regarding certain figures in the cabinet, while YENİ Party Group Deputy Chairperson Ali Mahir Başarır criticized the advisor for making the fund investment.
