No Third Eye or External Monitoring Mechanism in the Terror-Free Turkey Process
AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler announced that the Terror-Free Turkey process will be carried out entirely by the country's own institutions and that there will be no external monitoring mechanism.
AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler visited the Yeni Şafak Ankara Bureau, made important evaluations regarding the Terror-Free Turkey process, and emphasized that there is no third eye or external monitoring mechanism whatsoever.
Scope of the Process and Institutions
AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler stated that the process will be carried out by Turkey's own institutions and that there is definitely no external audit or monitoring mechanism.
Güler stated that the process is advanced entirely by relying on national capacity and that the structure to emerge at the end of this model will set an example for the world.
Legal Regulations and Conditions
Stating that the Law on the Strengthening of National Solidarity and Social Integration passed by the Parliament will not enter into force immediately, Güler noted that the critical stage is the laying down of arms by the organization and the completion of its liquidation.
It was conveyed that a six-month application process is envisaged to cover those who have not been involved in weapons, excluding armed crime perpetrators and organization leaders.
Monitoring Board and New Constitution
It was announced that the Monitoring and Inspection Board established by the law will be formed under the chairmanship of the Vice President and will begin its work within a few days of the publication of the law.
Abdullah Güler also warned against possible sabotage attempts, while expressing that a positive atmosphere has been formed regarding the new constitution efforts.
