Seventy years after hosting the summer workshop that gave birth to the discipline of artificial intelligence, Dartmouth is opening critical issues that go beyond technology to debate.
Vital questions such as the limits of human responsibility, the governance of artificial intelligence, and which decisions should never be delegated will be addressed at this conference.
Leading Figures of the Ecosystem Will Be Speakers
Realized with the support of the Rockefeller Foundation, the event will bring together many important leaders from academia, industry, government, and the arts.
As part of the program, Mira Murati, Peter DeSantis, Alan Trefler, and Hany Farid will feature as speakers, while Yann LeCun will be presented with the AI at 70 Award.
Versatile Sessions and Research Findings
The summit, taking place in the final days of October, will feature panel discussions and keynote speeches covering international security, arts, ethics, and medicine.
Additionally, Dartmouth researchers will share the initial findings of a multi-year study examining the impact of students' artificial intelligence use on their learning and workforce preparation processes.
