Minister Bolat stated that they discussed strategic steps to reach the bilateral trade volume target of 10 billion dollars.

Issues regarding the facilitation of trade, particularly transportation and customs gates, were addressed at the meeting.

Reconstruction Process and Private Sector

During the talks, the active role that the Turkish private sector could undertake in Syria's reconstruction process was discussed in detail.

Joint steps to be taken to deepen economic relations between the two countries were evaluated.

Investment Agency Contacts

Trade Minister Ömer Bolat also met with Ahmet Rawad Ramadan, who was appointed as the Head of the Syrian Investment Agency.

At this meeting, investment opportunities and potential cooperation for the new period were evaluated.

Fairs and Economic Integration

Minister Bolat made important statements at the opening of the Turkey-Syria Trade Delegation and Bilateral Business Meetings.

Stating that they participated in 8 fairs in Syria last year, Bolat emphasized that they are also participating in 8 different fairs in 2026.
