Google Announces AI Developments and New Models for July 2026

Google published a comprehensive overview of its July 2026 AI innovations, sharing new tools and partnerships implemented for developers, robotic systems, and everyday users.

New Gemini Models and Developer Tools

Google introduced the Gemini 3.6 Flash, 3.5 Flash-Lite, and 3.5 Flash Cyber models, which offer higher token efficiency, lower latency, and reliable performance to scale AI agents.

The company also rolled out the AlphaEvolve code optimization tool to all Google Cloud customers and announced updates that make the search experience more functional.

Robotic Systems and Hardware Integrations

Gemini Robotics ER 2, its most capable reasoning model bridging physical reality with digital capabilities, was launched to enable machines to engage in natural conversations with humans.

As part of the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026 events, Gemini Intelligence features integrated with the Galaxy Z Fold8 series and the wireless data transfer experience arriving with Android 17 were introduced.

Social Initiatives and Environmental Efforts

To meet the demand for a skilled workforce, the Alliance for America’s Skilled Trades was established alongside BlackRock, Carhartt, and Ford, expanding educational opportunities.

Three new FireSat satellites were launched for early wildfire detection, and through a partnership with NOAA, weather forecasting was modernized using Google Cloud infrastructure.
