Over One Million People Used LinkedIn's AI Content Button
Platform's senior product manager, Hari Srinivasan, announced that the button introduced to report AI content has been clicked more than one million times.
It has been reported that over one million people have clicked the special button introduced by the business-oriented social network LinkedIn, allowing users to report AI-generated posts.
High Interest in the AI Button
The reporting button, announced by LinkedIn officials in late July and accessible from the three-dot menu next to posts, has reached a high usage rate on the platform.
Hari Srinivasan, the company's senior product manager, announced that this button was clicked by more than one million users in a short period.
Enhanced Classifiers and New Measures
This step was taken after it was determined that a significant portion of long-form posts on the platform were entirely generated by artificial intelligence.
During this process, LinkedIn deployed new and improved classifiers to detect AI content and removed a feature that enhanced posts with artificial intelligence.
Decline in View Rates
Stating that combating AI content is a priority for the platform, Srinivasan expressed that the changes made are yielding positive results.
According to recent data, users are viewing posts classified as AI generally 40 percent less compared to a few weeks ago.
AI Warning to Users
As part of the measures taken, the platform is also activating a new warning message system targeting users who create posts.
Accordingly, if some members report that a post appears to be an AI product, informative messages are sent to the content owner.
