Provocative Social Media Posts Targeting the Terror-Free Turkey Process Under Investigation
Social media accounts targeting the National Solidarity and Social Integration process and spreading disinformation have been placed under scrutiny by official institutions.
Within the scope of efforts carried out under the coordination of the Directorate of Communications with the participation of relevant security and judicial units, social media content provoking the 'National Solidarity and Social Integration' process has been taken under review.
Coordinated Inter-Agency Work
The efforts carried out under the coordination of the Directorate of Communications are being conducted with the participation of the relevant Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, the General Directorate of Security's Department of Cyber Crimes, and Counter-Terrorism units.
Identified Provocative Content
During the examinations, it was determined that certain accounts engaged in terrorist propaganda, shared content praising terrorism, and numerous accounts attempted to guide public opinion through unreal posts containing disinformation and manipulation.
Legal Proceedings Will Be Initiated
While users attempting to fuel hatred and hostility through provocative posts targeting society's sensitivities are being identified, it was stated that the efforts are continuing comprehensively and necessary legal proceedings will be initiated against accounts carrying elements of a crime.
