Strong Recovery Recorded in Central Bank Reserves in June
According to the latest data announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, increases were experienced in all gross, net, and net reserves excluding swaps items.
According to data from the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, a significant increase was observed in gross, net, and net reserves excluding swaps in the week ending June 19. The recovery process in the reserves, which had seen their lowest level the previous week, drew attention.
Increase in Gross Reserves
According to CBRT data, gross reserves increased by 5.1 billion dollars in the week of June 19, reaching a total of 157.2 billion dollars.
Previous Week's Low Level
In the week of June 12, gross reserves had fallen to 152.1 billion dollars, seeing the lowest level in approximately the last year.
Recovery in Net Reserves
In the third week of June, a strong recovery was observed not only in gross reserves but also in net reserves.
Net Reserve Amount
According to the official data announced, net reserves increased by 7 billion dollars in the relevant week, rising to 52 billion dollars.
Net Reserves Excluding Swaps
The net reserves excluding swaps indicator, closely monitored by the markets, was also recorded at 34.6 billion dollars with an increase of 5.5 billion dollars.
