Turkish Folk Music Choir Being Established by Marmaris Municipality
Auditions for the new choir, which will bring together adults interested in music in the district, will be held in the first days of September.
Marmaris Municipality is establishing a new choir to keep the rich repertoire of Turkish folk music alive and bring district residents together. Dates have been set for auditions that adults can attend.
Auditions for the Choir Will Be Held in September
Marmaris Municipality is forming a new Turkish Folk Music Choir as part of its cultural and artistic activities. Auditions for this community, which will consist of adults, will be held on Wednesday, September 2, and Friday, September 4, at 18:00.
Location of Auditions and Evaluation Process
The auditions where candidates will participate will take place at the Marmaris Culture and Art House. During the auditions, participants will be given a musical ear test accompanied by a piano and asked to perform a piece.
Deniz Ersin Avcı will undertake the role of conductor for the choir to be established within Marmaris Municipality.
Cultural and Artistic Activities Are Expanding
Marmaris Municipality had previously taken steps in the field of theater to revitalize cultural and artistic life in the city. The Marmaris Municipal Theater, established last year, brought two different plays to the audience in a short time.
MABET presented its first play, Böcekler (Insects), to art lovers in February, and its second play, Böyledir Bizim Sevdamız (Such Is Our Love), in May.
Other Projects in the Field of Music
The municipality's culture and art vision is not limited to theater and new choir works. Efforts to establish the Marmaris Chamber Orchestra to increase music production in the city are also ongoing.
With the newly established Turkish Folk Music Choir, it is aimed that music lovers from different age groups will meet in a common art culture.
