With the start of the new school year, the Dien Bien Provincial Department of Health has requested municipal authorities to allocate sufficient medical personnel and rooms at each multi-level boarding school in border regions to ensure effective healthcare services and protection for students.

Request for Assignment of Medical Personnel

For ten border communes including Thanh Nua, Thanh Yen, Sam Mun, Nua Ngam, Muong Nha, Nam Ke, Sin Thau, Quang Lam, Na Bung, and Si Pa Phin, the Department of Health has asked the people's committees to assign at least two medical staff members.

The assigned personnel are intended to be able to respond 24/7 to potential medical situations for students, teachers, and staff.

Medical Room and Hygiene Regulations

The health department stipulates the arrangement of two adjoining medical rooms, one for first aid and the other for on-duty personnel.

Regulations have been issued requiring adequate handwashing sinks in dining areas and compliance with hand hygiene by students before meals.

Staff Training and Schedule

Directors of health centers were urgently instructed to organize training plans for school medical personnel.

The training content includes basic first aid, emergency management, and equipment usage, with the completion deadline set for August 31, 2026.

School Opening Schedule

According to the plan, opening ceremonies will be held simultaneously across all schools in Dien Bien province on September 5.

Within this scope, multi-level boarding schools will be inaugurated in nine communes, bringing the total number in the province to ten.
