Condition of those injured in the MHP convoy accident in Kahramanmaraş
One person lost their life and seven people, including a member of parliament and the provincial chair, were injured in a traffic accident in Afşin.
One person lost their life and seven people, including MHP Kahramanmaraş Member of Parliament Zuhal Karakoç, were injured when vehicles in the MHP delegation's convoy collided in the Afşin district of Kahramanmaraş.
Accident in the Convoy
Two vehicles in the MHP delegation's convoy, which had set out for district visits, collided in Kahramanmaraş. A pickup truck and a car were involved in the accident at the Gerger Neighborhood junction on the Afşin-Elbistan highway.
Injured and Hospital Process
Medical teams dispatched to the scene determined that Samet Özdemir, who was in the pickup truck, had lost his life. Seven people injured in the accident were taken to Afşin State Hospital for treatment.
Transfer to Ankara and Health Status
Member of Parliament Zuhal Karakoç and the provincial chair were transferred to Kahramanmaraş State Hospital following initial intervention. Governor Mükerrem Ünlüer announced that Karakoç's life was not in danger and that her previous waist ailment had flared up. Due to adverse weather conditions preventing flights from landing in Kahramanmaraş and Gaziantep, Zuhal Karakoç was taken by ambulance to Hatay Airport and transferred to Ankara.
