In a statement by the Ministry of Health in Gaza, it was reported that medical evacuations carried out to enable patients and the injured in the region to receive treatment abroad have been suspended since last week, and no departures have taken place.

Day Restrictions on Evacuations

The days for evacuations aimed at providing treatment opportunities abroad for patients in the region were limited only to Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. However, according to the latest statement, no patients or injured individuals were able to leave the Gaza Strip last week.

Expectation of Lists for Coming Days

It was stated that no list regarding the names of individuals who could leave Gaza for treatment has reached them as of this hour. This situation reveals that referral procedures remain uncertain.

Suspension of Medical Evacuations

It was stated that the limited medical evacuations were halted without any official explanation being provided. It was emphasized that this delay is not merely a logistical obstacle, but rather means the intentional and systematic deterioration of health conditions.

Call to International Organizations

An urgent call was made to international organizations, primarily the United Nations. It was requested that action be taken to open the border crossings and evacuate patients and the injured through a sustainable mechanism.

Situation of Waiting Patients

According to previously shared data, 21,000 registered patients in Gaza are waiting to receive treatment abroad. While a significant portion of these patients consists of children and tumor patients, the number of those losing their lives while waiting for referral is increasing day by day.
