Taken to Hospital After Falling Ill at Home
Famous comedian Cem Yilmaz suddenly fell ill at his home in Pasakoy, located in Canakkale's Ayvacik district, and called the 112 Emergency Call Center. The artist, who was taken to Ayvacik State Hospital by medical teams due to complaints of chest pain, was confirmed to have suffered a severe heart attack.
Transferred to COMU Hospital
Following his initial intervention, Cem Yilmaz was transferred to the Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University Hospital Coronary Intensive Care Unit and placed under treatment by an expert cardiology team.
Successful Angiogram and Stent Operation
During the angiogram performed by Prof. Dr. Ercan Aksit, a faculty member of the Department of Cardiology, a balloon and stent application was performed on the blocked coronary vessel by entering through the wrist. The operation, which lasted approximately 40 minutes, was successfully completed.
Health Status Statement from His Doctor
Prof. Dr. Ercan Aksit, who performed the operation, stated that the heart attack occurred in the main vessel feeding the front wall of the heart, noting that the patient's condition is progressing well and he could be discharged within a day or two.

While COMU Rector Prof. Dr. Cuneyt Erenoglu reported that the artist was making jokes, Minister of Health Kemal Memisoglu stated that the medical processes were managed successfully. His older brother, Can Yilmaz, also announced that the treatment was completed and he was resting.
