The Hendek District Directorate of Health carried out field studies and informational events to support mother and baby health on the occasion of October 1-7 Normal Birth Week. In the activities conducted by the Child, Adolescent, Woman, and Reproductive Health Unit, comprehensive guidance services were provided regarding the physiological advantages of normal birth and its positive effects on maternal and infant health.

Field Studies and Information Booth

With a special information booth set up at the Hendek Uludere Family Health Center, it was aimed to reach expectant mothers directly. Expert health personnel provided visitors with detailed information about the processes and advantages of normal birth.

Effects of Normal Birth on Health

During the events, it was stated that, in medically appropriate situations, normal birth accelerates the mother's recovery process during the postpartum period. In addition, the importance of early mother-infant contact and breastfeeding after birth was emphasized.

It was stated that the breastfeeding process initiated at an early stage contributes to strengthening the baby's immune system and reinforcing the emotional bond between mother and baby.

One-on-One Counseling and Future Goals

The activities were not limited to the center alone, but were expanded with home visits and one-on-one counseling services. The directorate continues to raise awareness among expectant mothers by taking into account the unique conditions of each pregnancy.

Officials emphasized that a healthy birth is the first step in raising strong generations and stated that supportive activities for mothers will continue resolutely.
