Initiatives to Improve the Quality of Healthcare Services in Vietnam

Proactive screening programs targeting middle-aged women and elderly individuals have been launched nationwide in Vietnam to raise the quality of healthcare services and adapt to the population's aging process, while specialist physician training has been supported and scientific conferences organized.

Women's Health Awareness Program

A special awareness program targeting women in the perimenopausal and menopausal stages was launched in Hanoi by the Maternal and Child Health Department of the Ministry of Health.

In this process, which closely concerns approximately 20 million women, the goal is for women to take a more proactive approach to caring for their own health.

Comprehensive Medical Screening for the Elderly

A comprehensive healthcare event for elderly individuals was organized with the contributions of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association and relevant organizations.

Within the scope of the event, medical examinations were conducted for over a thousand elderly citizens, nutrition counseling was provided, and screening tests for non-communicable diseases were administered.

Support for Specialist Doctor Training

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Council approved a new resolution to develop human resources within the public health system.

Within the framework of this resolution, it was decided to provide tuition fee and living allowance support for the training of specialist doctors and residents for the public healthcare system.

National and International Scientific Conferences

An international scientific conference was held at the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Hospital in Dong Hoi to translate scientific developments into practical treatment methods.

Additionally, another national-level scientific conference discussing medical research and practical applications was organized in the city of Hanoi.
