Knife Attack Incident Occurred at Middle School

Eight students were injured in a knife fight that broke out among students at Kayaşehir Şeyh Şamil İmam Hatip Middle School. Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu announced that the injured are under treatment in hospitals and the condition of one is critical.

Development of the Incident

A fight broke out among students at Kayaşehir Şeyh Şamil İmam Hatip Middle School located in Kayabaşı Neighborhood. It was reported that F.M., a 10th-grade student at Fahrettin Kerim Gökay Anatolian High School, carried out a knife attack during the incident.

Health Status of the Injured

Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu stated in a post on his social media account that there were a total of eight injured, two of whom were in moderate-to-severe condition. It was stated that the treatments of the injured in hospitals are ongoing and their conditions are being closely monitored.

Identity of the Attacker

It was learned that F.M., who was stated to have carried out the attack, is a former graduate of Kayaşehir Şeyh Şamil İmam Hatip Middle School. It was determined that the suspect came to his former school in the morning wearing a school uniform.
