In response to widespread misinformation about an intergenerational collapse in Vietnam's healthcare sector, the legal foundations, tuition fee exemptions, and financial autonomy steps implemented by the Party and State are being resolutely enforced.

Combating Disinformation

It is emphasized that claims circulating on the internet about medical students being heavily exploited and burdened with billions of dong in debt do not reflect reality, and that such manipulations are rendered invalid in the face of facts.

Exemptions Provided in Medical Education

Students pursuing specialized medical fields in public educational institutions benefit from a one-hundred-percent tuition fee exemption pursuant to Government Decree No. 238/2025/ND-CP.

Legal Regulations and Implementation Period

The mandatory practical training period required to obtain a medical license has been reduced to 12 months within the framework of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment.

Financial Autonomy and Pricing Policies

With Decree No. 96/2023/ND-CP detailing the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment, an era of financial autonomy has begun, and the Ministry of Health ensures the accurate calculation of service prices.

Digital Transformation and Future Strategies

Within the scope of the Digital Transformation Strategy for the 2025-2030 period, the healthcare sector is implementing significant technological innovations such as the interconnection of electronic health records and test results.
