While the fund investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office continues, content and allegations shared on social media are being debated on the grounds that they bear similarities to the methods used during the December 17-25 process.

Fund Investigation and Political Debates

The fund investigation process conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office continues at full speed. During this process, the fund allegations brought up by Ümit Özlale concerning Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş began circulating on the X platform.

While these allegations were also brought to the agenda in Halk TV broadcasts, journalists İsmail Saymaz, Murat Ağırel, and Şaban Sevinç were summoned to testify as suspects within the scope of the investigation.

The December 17-25 Process and Its Historical Background

The zeroing of the IMF debt in May 2013 and the acceleration of economic breakthroughs through domestic and national projects marked a significant turning point in Turkey's journey toward independence. Afterwards, the December 17-25 process took place.

Burhan Aytekin, Chief of the A Haber Research and Planning Service, examined these processes and stated that similar plots continue to be set up despite the years that have passed.

FETÖ's Media Structure and Methods

FETÖ played an active role during the December 17-25 process not only through state institutions but also via its media structure. Feza Journalism, Samanyolu Broadcasting Group, and İpek Media Group were part of the organization's media apparatus.

Communication was carried out through platforms such as Herkul.org upon the instructions of the terrorist organization's ringleader, and allegations were spread through accounts known by the name Fuat Avni.

Evaluations by President Erdoğan

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in his evaluations regarding the events of the December 17-25 process, emphasized that the process was transformed into an execution orchestrated by the media and politicians.

Erdoğan reacted to the continuous leaking of information to the outside in investigations subject to confidentiality orders, stating that institutions must be completely cleansed of this structure.

Disinformation and Social Media Impact

Today, content spread via social media is evaluated alongside past developments. Debates continue over attempts to manipulate public opinion through lies and disinformation.

Shares targeting confidence in state institutions and ongoing investigations continue to remain on the public agenda.

Legal Process and the Struggle for Truth

While the process conducted by the state with all its institutions in the fund investigation continues, it is of great importance for the public to access accurate information and combat disinformation.

It is emphasized that the legal framework will be enforced against violations of the nation's rights and laws, and that the victimization of innocent citizens will not be permitted.
