A woman in Da Nang city who made social media posts slandering a teacher and damaging their honor and dignity was fined 12.5 million VND by the police.
Discovery of the Incident
The Hoa Tien Commune Police Station received a report that the personal photos and professional information of a 29-year-old teacher named H.T.K.T. were targeted and her reputation was damaged. It was determined that the post containing fabricated statements gained significant attention on the internet and negatively affected the victim's professional life.
Police Investigation and Penal Action
As a result of the investigation, it was determined that the person who made the post was 30-year-old D.T.T.T. During her interrogation at the police station, the woman confessed to her crime and voluntarily removed the relevant post after realizing she was wrong following legal briefings. Based on the government decree, an administrative fine of 12.5 million VND was imposed on D.T.T.T.
