Aziz Yıldırım and Delegation Visit Memorial Tombs and Sports School in Baku
Fenerbahçe President Aziz Yıldırım and the accompanying delegation visited memorial tombs and the Alley of Martyrs, and met with young athletes as part of their contacts in Baku.
Fenerbahçe President Aziz Yıldırım, along with accompanying board members and club officials, paid important visits to memorial tombs and came together with sports school students within the framework of their official program in Azerbaijan's capital, Baku.
Wreath Laid at Heydar Aliyev's Memorial Tomb
Fenerbahçe President Aziz Yıldırım and the accompanying delegation began their contacts in Baku by visiting the memorial tomb of Heydar Aliyev, the former President of Azerbaijan who passed away in 2003.
During the visit, President Aziz Yıldırım laid a wreath at the memorial tomb, while club executives and football directorship officials were also present in the delegation.
Roses Left at Zarifa Aliyeva's Grave
Following Heydar Aliyev's memorial tomb, the delegation also visited the grave of his wife, Zarifa Aliyeva.
At this meaningful stop, President Aziz Yıldırım left roses at Zarifa Aliyeva's grave and observed a moment of silence.
Commemoration Held at the Alley of Martyrs
At the delegation's next stop, the Alley of Martyrs, the graves of those who lost their lives on the day the Soviet Army entered Baku in 1990 were visited.
The delegation members also offered prayers and held a commemoration at the martyr cemetery where Azerbaijani and Turkish soldiers who lost their lives in the Battle of Baku in 1918 are buried.
Visit to Fenerbahçe Azerbaijan Sports Schools
In the final part of the Baku program, Fenerbahçe Azerbaijan Sports Schools were visited, and a meeting was held with the students training there.
President Aziz Yıldırım and the board members chatted with the students, received information about the activities, and colorful moments took place.
The visit concluded with President Aziz Yıldırım signing the students' jerseys and taking shots on the field with the young athletes.
