Inspection Conducted at Karatay Sports Center Construction
Work is rapidly continuing on the giant sports complex built by the Karatay Municipality in the Karaaslandede Neighborhood.
While construction work on the Karatay Sports Center, one of the largest investments of the Karatay Municipality, continues at full speed, Mayor Hasan Kılca visited the facility to inspect the latest stage reached on-site.
Project Details
The facility, whose foundation was laid in July 2023, is rising on a construction area of approximately 26,000 square meters within the borders of the Karaaslandede Neighborhood.
The center is designed to offer a comprehensive infrastructure for children and youth to engage in sports in different branches.
Areas Included in the Facility
Within the scope of the project, there is a 1,000-square-meter semi-olympic swimming pool, an 1,161-square-meter indoor sports hall with stands, and an 8,584-square-meter outdoor football pitch built to FIFA standards.
Additionally, it features an archery hall, table tennis area, volleyball and basketball courts, administrative offices, athlete and coach rooms, and meeting rooms.
Eco-Friendly Energy System
The Karatay Sports Center draws attention not only with its sporting facilities but also with its eco-friendly features.
Thanks to the 400-kilowatt solar power plant installed on the roof of the facility, the center aims to produce its own energy and provide savings.
