Karatay Summer Sports Schools 2026 Term Concludes with Closing Ceremony

The 2026 term of the Karatay Summer Sports Schools, organized by the Karatay Municipality in Konya to contribute to the physical and social development of children, concluded with a closing program held at the Şehit Nihat Gün Facilities.

Thousands of Athletes Completed Training in 12 Different Branches

Training was provided in a total of 12 different branches, namely football, basketball, volleyball, taekwondo, judo, gymnastics, table tennis, traditional archery, tennis, swimming, wrestling, and kickboxing.

During this comprehensive and long-term process, a total of 3,670 child athletes had the opportunity to both practice sports and have a pleasant time under the guidance of expert staff.

Work Carried Out with a Wide Facility Network and Expert Instructor Staff

Throughout the summer term, educational activities were carried out across 14 different sports facilities throughout the district, and the work was successfully concluded.

The 58 instructors working in the organization worked with great dedication to ensure that the children received sports training in a safe and productive environment.

Closing Ceremony at Şehit Nihat Gün Facilities

Due to the end of the season, an enthusiastic closing program was organized at the Şehit Nihat Gün Facilities, providing unforgettable moments for the participants.

Within the framework of the event, various sports demonstrations were staged, and the program ended with a magnificent fireworks display.

Participation and Messages from Protocol and Mayor Kılca

Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca and Konya Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Muzaffer Çintimar attended the closing program.

Additionally, AK Party Konya Deputy Latif Selvi, Karatay District Governor Cengiz Ayhan, and numerous protocol members took part in the ceremony.
