National athletes continue their medal struggle at the 20th Mediterranean Games

At the 20th Mediterranean Games held in Taranto, Italy, as the seventh day was left behind, boxers from Fenerbahçe advanced to the finals, the Women's National Volleyball Team reached the semifinals, and the national table tennis teams booked their spots in the quarterfinals.
The Ongoing Organization in Taranto
The 20th Mediterranean Games, which started on August 21 in Taranto, Italy, are organized every four years with the participation of Mediterranean countries.
In the organization, athletes from 26 countries are competing for medals in a total of 30 different sports branches, and the seventh day has been left behind.
Success in Finals from Boxers
Stepping into the ring in the semifinal matches, our 60 kg boxer Mehmethan Çınar defeated his Italian opponent Michele Baldassi.
Meanwhile, Sema Çalışkan in the 65 kg category defeated her Moroccan opponent Mounia Touitre, writing her name into the final, and both athletes will compete for the gold medal.

Competing in Group B, our Women's National Volleyball Team managed to defeat Kosovo with a set score of 3-0.

Quarterfinals in Table Tennis
Our Women's and Men's National Table Tennis Teams also won their first matches in the organization, passing the round of 16.
Both our women's and men's teams defeated their opponents to secure their places in the quarterfinals, where they will face France.
