Selçuklu Summer Sports Schools Concluded with Broad Participation
Following the summer training period attended by thousands of children, preparations have gained momentum for the new term winter courses.
Organized under the leadership of Selçuklu Municipality in 17 different branches, the 2026 Summer Sports Schools successfully concluded with the participation of 20,695 athletes.
Summer Term Comes to an End
The 2026 Summer Sports Schools, organized by the Selçuklu Municipality to enable children and youth to spend their summer period engaging in sports, concluded on Saturday, August 29, following the training process that began on June 29.
High Interest and Participation
A total of 20,695 children participated in the training sessions held at sports facilities located in Selçuklu. Children devoted to sports had the opportunity to receive athletic training in 17 different branches accompanied by expert coaches.
New Facility Opens Its Doors for the First Time
Entering into service this year, one of Turkey's largest and most comprehensive sports facilities, the Selçuklu Municipality Athlete Selection and Training Center, also hosted students for the first time within the scope of the Summer Sports Schools.
A Step Toward Becoming Licensed Athletes
Young athletes who stood out with their performances in their branches during the Summer Sports Schools process are being monitored as a result of the coaches' evaluations. Students whose athletic talents are identified are integrated into the Selçuklu Belediyespor Club.
Winter Sports Schools Period Begins
Following the completion of the 2026 Summer Sports Schools, the Selçuklu Municipality has started preparations for the Winter Sports Schools to ensure that children and youth remain intertwined with sports throughout the year. Registrations will open on Wednesday, September 16.
