Nuri Şahin: Büyük bir hayal kırıklığı oldu!

Following Başakşehir's 1-1 home draw against Kasımpaşa in the 3rd week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, manager Nuri Şahin stated that they experienced great disappointment after the match.

We Started the Match Very Well

Speaking at the press conference held after the match at Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium, Nuri Şahin stated that they started the match very well.

The experienced manager expressed that his team played the best football they have put on the pitch in a long time during the first half and reflected everything they planned onto the field.

Unnecessary Loss of Two Points

Stating that their only missing element after the first-half performance was the second goal, Şahin said that they lost two unnecessary points following two halves that were as different as black and white.

Underlining that they need to be more effective in attack, the manager emphasized that this result definitely did not suit the successful game played in the first half.

The Decline in the Second Half

Conveying that they missed 2-3 clear chances despite playing poorly in the second half, Nuri Şahin noted that the biggest problem is returning as a team to the style of play from the turning point when they first arrived.

Şahin added that from time to time they play the first halves very well, but in the second half they let the opponent back into the game.

Galatasaray Match Target

Touching upon their upcoming match against Galatasaray in the 4th week of the league, the successful manager stated that they first need to put today's match behind them in their minds.

Expressing that they have a specific plan in mind, Şahin stated that they take the field to win against everyone and that they will be on the pitch for 3 points on Friday.
