Summer Sports Schools Olympics Concluded with Enthusiasm in Konya

The second Sports Schools Olympics, featuring thousands of students participating in the Summer Sports Schools conducted by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality in 28 districts outside the city center, have been successfully completed.

Widespread Participation in the Olympics

The Summer Sports Schools implemented by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality in 28 districts outside the center took place with high participation. Out of the 12,180 students who attended these schools throughout the training period, 1,500 young athletes were selected to sweat it out in the Olympics.

Competition in 11 Different Branches across 15 Facilities

Organized in 15 different halls and facilities in the city center, the event was held in 11 distinct branches. With the participation of young athletes, a total of 454 exciting matches were played, giving the students the opportunity to showcase the skills they acquired throughout the year.

Congratulatory Message to Youth from Mayor Altay

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay highlighted the importance of sports in children's development and congratulated all participants. Altay thanked the coaches, instructors, and families who contributed to the organization, stating that they will always support the youth.

Medal Distribution and Rankings of Districts

Following the competitions, awards were presented to the athletes who achieved top ranks, and the medal standings were finalized. Ereğli took first place with 12 gold, 12 silver, and 8 bronze medals, while other districts such as Akşehir and Çumra also achieved successful results.
