The Turkish Football Federation implemented an innovative regulation regarding the status of Turkish Cup matches for the 2026-2027 season.
Rights Granted to Super Lig Clubs
Trendyol Super Lig clubs will be able to field players eligible to play for the Turkish National Football Team or foreign national players in cup matches whom they could not include in their first-team roster for league matches.
Super Lig Match Roster Limitation
According to the new decision, Trendyol Super Lig teams will have the right to include a maximum of 14 foreign national players on the match roster list.
Status of Trendyol 1st Lig Clubs
Trendyol 1st Lig teams will also be able to include a maximum of 8 foreign players on their cup match roster and have a maximum of 6 foreign players on the field at the same time.
Scope and Date Range
It was announced that this new regulation will cover players who are under ongoing contracts in the clubs' rosters as of August 26, 2026.
