Ho Chi Minh City Consults Investors for Strategic Technology Center
Ho Chi Minh City held a consultation meeting with investors and experts for the Strategic Technology Development Center project focusing on artificial intelligence and semiconductors.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee organized an investor consultation conference for the construction of the Strategic Technology Development Center, which will focus on areas such as artificial intelligence, data centers, and semiconductors.
Purpose of the Consultation Conference and Attendees
On the afternoon of August 26, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee held an Investor Consultation Conference on the Orientation for Building the Strategic Technology Development Center. City leaders, as well as domestic and foreign delegates, attended the conference.
The main purpose of the meeting was to introduce the general direction, functional spatial planning, and policy framework for the development of the center, as well as to gather feedback from technology companies and international experts.
Critical Technical and Financial Issues Discussed
During the discussions, technical infrastructure, public-private partnership models, and various mechanisms and policies were emphasized. These issues are of critical importance in finalizing the project before implementation.
City's Vision and Strategic Decisions
In his opening speech, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Chairman Nguyen Van Duoc referred to Resolution No. 09-NQ/TW dated May 19, 2026, of the Politburo. This resolution aims for the city to become a modern urban center in Southeast Asia by 2030 and a scientific and technological center of Asia by 2045.
Allocation of Approximately 53 Hectares of Land
Building upon over 23 years of development of the High-Tech Park, the city has allocated approximately 53 hectares of land for an ecosystem focusing on artificial intelligence, data centers, and semiconductor research.
Support and Guarantees Offered to Investors
Chairman Nguyen Van Duoc confirmed that the city will stand by investors, prepare the necessary technical infrastructure, establish a single-window mechanism, and guarantee the rights of investors.
