The Turkish Men's National Basketball Team defeated Lithuania 94-66 in the second round of the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers, increasing their number of group wins to 7 and displaying a dominant performance.
Effective Start to the Match
The National Team made an effective start to the match with an 8-0 run achieved through consecutive points by Cedi Osman and Adem Bona, forcing the opponent into an early timeout.
Using the paint effectively, the crescent-and-star team finished the first quarter ahead at 27-13, gaining a major advantage for the rest of the match.
The Half Where the Gap Widened
Maintaining control of the game and the score in the second period as well, the nationals extended the lead to 24 points with Cedi Osman's free throws in the 16th minute: 46-22.

National team captain Cedi Osman crossed the milestone of 200 official matches wearing the crescent-and-star jersey, reaching a significant statistic in Turkish basketball.
Prior to the match, Turkish Basketball Federation Vice President Harun Erdenay presented Cedi Osman with a number 200 national team jersey in recognition of his contributions.

It was learned that national basketball player Ercan Osmani, who was injured in the first quarter of the match, was taken to the hospital with a suspected broken nose.
Youth and Sports Minister Osman Aşkın Bak and TBF President Hidayet Türkoğlu also followed the match played at the Turkcell Basketball Development Center.
