Violence against a woman at a gym and detention in Mersin

In an incident that took place at a gym in Mersin's Yenişehir district, 33-year-old Aylin D. was beaten and had her throat squeezed by Kürşat T., with whom she had an argument. While the victim, who was rescued by the intervention of a woman at the scene, filed a complaint, the detained suspect was released under judicial control conditions.
Argument at the Gym
The incident occurred around noon at a gym located on Ali Kaya Mutlu Street in Çiftlikköy Neighborhood of Mersin's central Yenişehir district. An argument broke out for an as yet unknown reason between 33-year-old Aylin D. and 33-year-old Kürşat T., who came to the gym.
Attacked by Squeezing the Throat
As the argument escalated, Kürşat T. subjected Aylin D. to physical violence and squeezed her throat. These horrifying moments, during which the young woman was left breathless and experienced great fear, were recorded second by second by the security cameras in the gym.
Another Woman Intervened
Another attentive woman present in the gym during the attack quickly stepped in and pushed Kürşat T. away. Thanks to this intervention, potential greater physical violence and a situation that could have led to a disaster were prevented.
Detention and Release
Following the incident, upon the complaint of Aylin D., Kürşat T. was detained upon the instructions of the public prosecutor. Referred to the courthouse after the completion of his procedures at the police station, the suspect was released by the court under judicial control conditions.
