Overnight Attacks Targeting Nine Cities

Russia carried out a comprehensive air operation with missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles targeting nine Ukrainian cities during the night from Wednesday to Thursday.

It was officially confirmed by authorities that the attacks lasted until the morning hours and explosion sounds were heard in many regions, including the capital Kyiv.

Infrastructure and Civilian Casualties

While two civilians lost their lives in the Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions, it was shared that at least 14 people were injured in different areas.

A thermal power plant in the Kherson region and energy and civilian infrastructure facilities in Poltava and Odesa suffered heavy damage from the attacks.

Ukraine's Emphasis on Air Defense

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia is continuing its attacks by increasing its missile stockpiles and that his country needs more air defense support.

Zelenskyy drew attention to the importance of strengthening the aid provided by European partners with additional ballistic missile defense packages.

UAV Activity in Moldova's Airspace

The Moldovan Ministry of Defense announced that five unmanned aerial vehicles violated its airspace during the night, but did not specify to whom these vehicles belonged.

Neighboring countries in Eastern Europe continue to express concern that the war in Ukraine could turn into a broader conflict.

Targets on Russian Territory

In response, the Ukrainian front targeted logistics hubs and e-commerce warehouses in Russia with long-range unmanned aerial vehicles.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that air defense systems neutralized numerous Ukrainian UAVs over 14 different regions.
