Youth combined sports and historical discovery in Gördes event
Through a project implemented in the Gördes district of Manisa, students closely discovered the region's cultural heritage while exercising around the historic Hacı Hıdır Bridge.
The "Discover Your City Through Sports" project, carried out by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, witnessed colorful scenes in the Gördes district of Manisa. Youth staying in dormitories spent time intertwined with nature through sports activities held at the historic bridge.
Sports Meeting at the Historic Hacı Hıdır Bridge
Students staying in the Gördes Student Dormitories, affiliated with the Manisa Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, came together in an event organized by the Gördes District Directorate of Youth and Sports. The youth participated in various sports activities in the program held around the historic Hacı Hıdır Bridge and its surroundings.
On-Site Promotion of Cultural Values
Thanks to this organization, the youth had the opportunity to closely examine and get to know the Hacı Hıdır Köprüsü, one of the important historical values of Gördes, in addition to doing sports. The students experienced pleasant moments intertwined with nature.
Purpose of the Project and Targeted Achievements
With the "Discover Your City Through Sports" project, it is aimed to encourage youth to engage in physical activities as well as to get to know Manisa's historical, cultural, and natural riches on-site. The project aims for youth to build a connection with the city they live in.

Gördes District Director of Youth and Sports Fatih Çetintaş, students, and athletes participated in the event. Manisa Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Yunus Öztürk emphasized the contribution such activities make to the development of youth.
