AK Party Deputy Chairman Ahmet Büyükgümüş stated that Terror-Free Turkey is a state project carried out under the supervision of the nation, and expressed that all political parties under the roof of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) are closely following the efforts.
Names Attending the Meeting
AK Party Deputy Chairman Ahmet Büyükgümüş's remarks were made at a meeting held with the participation of the party organization. AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, Sivas deputies Hakan Aksu and Rukiye Toy, neighborhood and village heads, and party members took part in the meeting.
Parliament and Legal Regulations
Stating that an important legal regulation was implemented under the roof of the Parliament with 467 affirmative votes, Büyükgümüş expressed that organizations must know the meaning of this process very well. He also noted that deputies from all political parties in the Parliament closely follow the work of security and intelligence units.
Liquidation of the Terrorist Organization
Recalling that the PKK and YPG announced they would end their existence, Büyükgümüş said that the processes of laying down arms and liquidation are being monitored day by day on the ground. He expressed that developments in Syria and the status of the organizations are being monitored through parliamentary oversight.
Determination in Counter-Terrorism
Emphasizing that the fight against terrorism has not ended and has not been paused, Büyükgümüş stated that the fight against all terrorist organizations acting as subcontractors of imperialists will continue with determination. He added that the process is being conducted sincerely for fraternity, unity, and solidarity.
