5 Thousand Children to Receive Training Through the My Digital Friend Project
Launched in partnership with the Community Volunteers Foundation and the Turkey Vodafone Foundation, the project aims for children to use the digital world consciously and in a balanced manner.
The My Digital Friend project, implemented in cooperation with the Community Volunteers Foundation and the Turkey Vodafone Foundation, announced that training will be provided to a total of 5,000 students in 7 provinces to ensure primary and secondary school students use digital technologies safely, consciously, and in a balanced manner.
Aim and Target Audience of the Project
Within the scope of the new project, primary school students aged eight to nine and secondary school students aged ten to fourteen will be supported in using digital technologies more safely and in a balanced manner.
The Role of Community Volunteer Youth
The school implementations of the project will be carried out under the facilitation of Community Volunteer youth who have successfully passed the necessary training, and these youths will organize interactive workshops.
Introductory Meeting Held
The project was introduced with a press conference attended by Turkey Vodafone Foundation President Hasan Süel, TOG General Manager Seçkin Karataş, and Bahçeşehir University Dean Prof. Dr. Yavuz Samur.
Training Modules and Scope
Each of the training programs will consist of three modules of six hours each, and activities will be carried out in a total of seven different provinces within the first year.
Provinces Where Implementation Will Take Place
It is aimed to reach 5,000 students with the contribution of 105 Community Volunteer youths in the provinces of Bitlis, İzmir, Ankara, Hatay, İstanbul, Samsun, and Diyarbakır.
