The Heritage of Al-Battani
Among these scientists is Al-Battani, who was born in Harran and is known for his work in mathematics and astronomy.
While Al-Battani made significant contributions to the history of science through his observations over the years, today youth are exhibiting their projects in the lands where he was born.
TEKNOFEST Southeast Excitement
The Aviation, Space and Technology Festival is organized under the executive management of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the T3 Foundation, and Defense Technologies Engineering and Trade Inc. (STM).
This year, the event is being held in Şanlıurfa between September 30 and October 4 under the name TEKNOFEST Southeast.
Meaningful Connection with Scientific Past
Prof. Dr. Sedat Benek, Head of the Geography Department at Harran University, stated that the festival establishes a meaningful connection with the city's scientific past.
Benek emphasized that there is a strong bond between Al-Battani's scientific heritage and the festival.
