Apple might make servers again to cash in on the AI rush

Apple plans to return to the server market, which it exited in 2011, alongside the growth of the artificial intelligence sector, and it is stated that it could partner with Nvidia.

AI Demand and New Strategy

The increasing demand for computing power with the expansion of the artificial intelligence industry stands out as the main factor driving Apple to re-enter the enterprise machine market. The company believes that efficient ARM-based M processors create an opportunity in this field.

M8 Ultra Chips and the 2029 Target

While it is not yet known whether the new server product will be named Xserve, the year 2029 is indicated as the release date. Depending on the model options, the devices are expected to run with two or four M8 Ultra chips.

Possible Cooperation with Nvidia and NVLink

It is stated that Apple could integrate Nvidia's NVLink Fusion technology, which allows multiple chips to work as a single unit, into its new servers. The company had previously preferred Nvidia chips for its Siri servers as well.
